Same this with this event: It was a powerhouse and taught me so much about my talents and skills as a producer and director. I loved every minute and keep it on here for sentimental reasons!
I worked tirelessly with our Publicity & Marketing partners, our Special Events team and our Interview Scheduling team to put together the largest Press Event the park had ever experienced, including the 50th Anniversary Celebration. These two events spanned a three day period, and included live music & entertainment, wall-to-wall media interviews from more than 85 stations daily, celebrity guest appearances and the unveiling of Disney California Adventure's new look as well as the Grand Opening of the long awaited Cars Land.
For this event, I was asked to not only highlight all of the new offerings in DCA and Cars Land, but to walk through the 5 year retrospective of what changes had been made to DCA during the expansion. I wrote a script for the webcasts, both intros and outros, including the resort favorite, "The Green Army Man on Recon", where our Sergeant went on a recon mission throughout the park to report on his new findings in Cars Land.
I was also co-creator for the interactive show moment when Cameron Mattheson from Good Morning America got to be a part of the new show, "Red Car News Boys".
I was only a part of the overall event, as the amount of work it took to mount three days of premieres, opening show moments, red carpet events, etc, was nothing short of monumental, and truly, took a lot of dedication and sleepless nights to make that magic happen. It was an honor to be part of that amazing team.
