In 2022, I was approached by Dion Rambo and Create the Lab to help create a one-of-a-kind concert for the students of the Los Angeles Community College District, to celebrate surviving the pandemic and to bring awareness to the mental health crisis that was created in its wake.
In an unprecidented show of solidarity, many LA County departments came together in a roundtable session, designed to help our Los Angeles youth not only get the help they needed, but to thrive instead of just survive.
Spearheaded by Councilman, Dion Rambo, we successfully collaborated to put on our first Pull Up Concert, featuring rappers YG and Kalan fr.fr, plus an energetic tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle by legendary dance troupe, Tommy the Clown. DJ'd by the awesome DJ Malski, it was not only incredible for the kids, but lent a great sense of community and awareness as well.
